Honoring the Legacy of our Nation’s Heroes

The creation of Patriot Gate, dedicated September 11, 2025, is a new monument at Hillside Memory Gardens. It holds profound significance in honoring the enduring legacy of our nation's heroes.

This monument serves as a timeless tribute to the valor, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of those who have served; and their families, our country with distinction.

The success of the Patriot Gate and Veterans Plaza improvements at Hillside Cemetery is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together to honor those who served. The Military Affairs Committee extends its sincere appreciation to our many partners, supporters, volunteers, and donors whose generosity, expertise, and shared commitment helped bring this vision to life.

We are especially grateful to the City of Williston, Williston Cemetery Board, and Williams County.

This project came to life thanks to the generosity and vision of so many. We offer our deepest gratitude to our major supporters— Sutton Betti (Sculptor), A&A Landscaping, Triangle Electric, The Scheele Foundation, Williston Community Builders, the City of Williston, Kraken Resources, Liberty Energy, Williston Moose Lodge Lodge #239, Apex Clean Energy, Basin Cruzers, Dale & Eileen Livdahl, VFW Post 12169, American Legion Edgar M. Boyd Post 37, Williston API, Western Cooperative Credit Union and many individual donors.

Together, we created a sacred space where their courage and selflessness can be forever cherished and revered.
